  • OAuth for XAPI Integration:

We now support OAuth authentication alongside basic authentication, enabling seamless integration with a broader range of Learning Systems, including Degreed. With XAPI, you can now consolidate all your learning data in one place for easier reporting and analysis, streamlining your workflow and gaining clearer insights.

  • Login Improvements for Candidates:

A new and improved login experience allows candidates to change their language and easily switch between signup and login tabs on the registration page.   • Account Switching Made Easy:

Since we launched our shiny new logo a few months ago, the team has been hard at work updating the design and messaging for all of the emails that the SocialTalent platform sends to our users.

This release brings all of these new email templates to our users so don’t be alarmed if you see emails with slightly different subjects or content, as long as it’s sent from hello@socialtalent.com, it from us!

We’ve had to make some hard decisions in this process so some of the emails will no longer include things like your teams leader-boards. If you have any feedback for us, please send it to support@socialtalent.com and we’ll get back to you.

  • Welcome to the world of xAPI. SocialTalent now supports xAPI integrations. This technology is designed to capture a wide range of learning activities, making it easier to track and understand how people learn. With xAPI, activities are recorded as "statements" in a Learning Record Store (LRS). Each statement uses a simple "noun, verb, object" format, like "John completed the course." This means you can track learning experiences across different platforms and contexts seamlessly.

  • By integrating xAPI with your Learning Management System (LMS), SocialTalent makes it easier to track learner engagement and performance. This integration allows for seamless data exchange with your LRS, providing detailed analytics and real-time reporting on course completions. New year, new My Learning experience! 

Here are a few of the big changes and benefits of the new experience:

  • The page focuses on the Learners currently assigned Learning Path so that Learners can quickly see where they are in their Learning Path.

  • Learners can see all of the missions in their Learning Path on the left hand side of the page.

  • If a Learner is in a Program, they will be able to see which Learning Path they are on and easily view the rest of their Program.

  • Their Learning Path completion date is shown at the top of the page which will hopefully encourage Learners to complete their learning on time.

  • The page has been designed with accessibility in mind so learners with visual impairments should be able to watch their content as easily as possible.

A gentle reminder to our users - in order for us to continue improving our platform, we release new features and bug fixes every second Thursday at 7am (Irish time). As a precautionary measure, we put our platform into maintenance mode for 15-60 minutes (depending on the size and complexity of the deployment).

When Company Admins use the wizard to build a new Program, adding learners is now the last step in the process, not the second step. Note: you don’t have to add any users when building a program.
