This is an update to Interviewing Level 1, presented by John Vlastelica

This mission equips interviewers, recruiters, and hiring managers with the foundational skills needed to assess candidates using fair, structured, and evidence-based practices. It introduces the Recruiting Toolbox Hiring Criteria Framework and teaches the two most predictive interviewing techniques: behavioral interviewing and situational interviewing. Learners will build practical skills to design strong questions, evaluate answers consistently, and assess both past performance and present capability with confidence.

You'll learn to:

  • Build a strong foundation in structured, evidence-based interviewing

  • Define clear hiring criteria using the Recruiting Toolbox Framework

  • Apply behavioral interviewing to predict future performance

  • Use situational interviewing to assess present capability

Pain points solved:

  • Low interview-to-offer ratios caused by inconsistent questioning and weak evidence collection

  • Slow time-to-decision due to unclear criteria and misaligned interview feedback

  • Poor 90-day performance outcomes driven by shallow interviews and ineffective evaluation
